Focus: The federal government and the intelligence community, are some of the places where the jobs and careers are in high demand. Learn how to prepare yourself to take advantage of these exciting professional opportunities.

Veteran Employee Resource Group…Understanding the Cultural Differences (10:00 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.) Military Veteran Panel

Focus: The integration of returning military into the civilian workplace is a major initiative for LATINA Style and its partners. The cultural gap that exists between military and corporate entities continues to be a major challenge to our veterans. The importance of Veterans mentorship, sponsorship and retention programs in the company.

Diversity in the Military today…Women Blazing the Trail for future Flag Officers. (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) General Officer Panel                    

Focus: Hear our nation’s Latinas leaders address the work being accomplished to grow Latinas professional in the military. They will offer guidance and advice on leadership and self-development, and to maximize the visibility of leadership skills. Learn how success and power can positively impact your community and inspire others.

DISTINGUISHED MILITARY SERVICE AWARDS LUNCHEON

12:15 p.m. Open doors – Program will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Virginia Ballroom

During the Distinguished Military Awards Luncheon, a one of a kind gathering that is a showcase event in Washington, D.C. and, an integral part of Hispanic Heritage month activities, in the Nation’s capital. LATINA Style presents a recognition program honoring the accomplishments of women serving in the Armed Forces. The awardees will be honored for their service to our country, leadership, accomplishments, and commitment to building a strong community.
